As German Research Center for Environmental Health, Helmholtz Zentrum München pursues the goal of developing personalized medical approaches for the prevention and therapy of major common diseases such as diabetes mellitus, allergies and lung diseases. Your challenge

You are motivated to independently and reliably process a variety of general administrative topics, with high speed and accuracy. You handle routine work, like ordering of consumables and small equipment with the same competence as the independent organization of and reimbursements for business trips and trainings of our employees.

You easily master the continuous budget tracking for our individually operating scientific teams, and lease with the HPC scientists and contact persons of various central departments to compile, maintain and synchronize safety and equipment guidelines, inventories, and other documents relevant for efficient laboratory operations (experience with laboratory work is a plus but not mandatory).

You proactively support the planning, organization and execution of visits of international guests, coordinate internal and external meetings, and employ your organizing skills for the success of seminars series’ and conferences.

Your qualifications

You enjoy planning and coordinating, appreciate working as part of a team, and feel confident interacting with people of diverse hierarchy levels and cultural backgrounds. 

You either hold a degree in office management or related qualifications. Alternatively, your cover letter convinces us that you are qualified for this role due to equivalent professional experience and high motivation. You are working iependently, reliably, and goal-oriented with a proactive professional attitude. This position requires fluency in both English and German (additional languages a plus) as well as MS office skills.

The Helmholtz Pioneer Campus, only founded in 2017, will be moving into its own research building with approximately 20 teams in 2022. Remuneration and benefits are in accordance with the collective agreement for the public service (TV EntgO Bund; depending on qualification). The position is suitable to work part-time (min. 25 hours/week). The position is initially limited to two years, with the option of a longer-term perspective.
